Per Gessle was born on January 12, 1959. Per Gessle is one of the founding members of Gyllene Tider, in 1976. They quickly became a popular group in Sweden, but after her fourth album, The Heartland Cafe (1984), sold with less behavior dibeningkan previous album, the group disbanded. Gessle writes, "We decided to rest Gyllene Tider until further notice."
In 1982, Gessle launched his first solo album, Per Gessle and Gyllene Tider after cracking his second album, Scener, emerging rapidly in 1985.
Gessle and Marie Fredriksson have been friends for several years before they get back together as Roxette in 1986. After the success of their first hit "Neverending Love", written by Gessle, they quickly recorded Pearls of Passion was originally expected to use the material for a solo album Per the third.
Roxette led to four U.S. number one and two times the number two, with the album Look Sharp!'' And Joyride reached platinum status in several countries.
