Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born in Saint Michael, Barbados, February 20, 1988, or better known as Rihanna, also called simply as Riri.
Rihanna is an R & B singer from Barbados. Born in Saint Michael, Barbados, Rihanna moved to the United States at age 16 to pursue a recording career under the guidance of record producer Evan Rogers. She then signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for then approved by the head of Def Jam Jay-Z.
Rihanna has sold over 20 million albums and 60 million singles that made her one of the best-selling music artists with sales of all time.
She is the youngest artist in history to reach the Billboard top ten singles chart number one on the Hot 100. On March 2010, Rihanna has sold approximately 5.4 million albums and more than 33.7 million digital singles in the United States.
In 2005, Rihanna has released her first studio album entitled Music of the Sun, which reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 album charts and the lead single, entitled "Pon de Replay" on the Billboard Hot 100.
Less than a year later, she released her second album entitled A Girl Like Me (2006), which peaked in the top five on the Billboard album charts, and its main single "SOS", became number one on the Hot 100 first.
Rihanna's third studio album is Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), which led to the best of four singles "Umbrella", "Take a Bow", "Disturbia" and "Do not Stop the Music", and got nine nominations at the Grammy awards Awards, winning Best Rap / Song Collaboration for "Umbrella," which was sung with Jay-Z.
The fourth studio album Rated R, released in November 2009, and produced the top ten singles on the order of "Russian Roulette", "Hard" and "Rude Boy", which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Loud (2010) is the fifth studio album, consisting of the number-one singles "Only Girl (In the World)", "What's My Name" and "S & M".
