Dave Farrell Biography

David Michael Farrell, better known as Dave Farrell or the Phoenix was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA, February 18, 1977. Dave Farrell is the bassist of the nu metal band Linkin Park. The nickname "Phoenix" obtained from Phoenix tattoos on both arms.

Phoenix spent his childhood in Plymouth, Massachusetts and moved to California. Phoenix began studying guitar at the age of 5 years because it was inspired by her brother. When the high school, Phoenix joined the Christian punk band Tasty Snax. When the initial join, Tasty Snax was in need of a bassist, and Phoenix chose to play bass.

After Dave Farrell graduated from high school, he continued his studies at UCLA. At college, he met with Brad Delson who was a friend of his room. Invite Brad Delson and Phoenix to be the bassist in the band Xero, and Phoenix agreed. After they released the album "Xero Sampler Tape", Phoenix was out of Xero having toured with his old band Tasty Snax.
